Still Knitting

I am still knitting, but had gotten away from blog reading and surfing for awhile, and hadn't downloaded pictures from my camera for months! Here are a few of the items I've worked on over the past months.

The baby sweater. It's been so long I can't remember if I mentioned it in my last post. I took a class at the beginning of the year - it is has been languishing in my knitting bag - nearly done - just waiting for the last french knots and to be stitched together. Luckily the little recipient has been slow growing. I will have to get to this shortly now though - the weather has definitely changed and is sweater weather here in MN. This is from Mission Falls pattern book Wee Knitts and it is Mission Falls merino wool. It is my first attempt at intarsia.

Baby socks. Nothing special really, but oh so cute, and such fun to knit and give. I can't remember what the yarn was. I am thinking it was the Austermann Step yarn. I cut out the white parts except at the very top where I got a tiny white edge.

The baseball cap I knit for the Worldwide Knit in Public Day. It is a pattern from FiberSpace. I can't remember what yarn I used - Lamb's Pride maybe? It is being modeled by the neighbor girl who had just moved in across the street at the time. She is curious. It is a bit big for her (it fits me fine). The color will be good for my daughter's winter coat.
There has been more knitting too. I finished a sweater for myself and have another in the works, done almost to the sleeves. I have one pair of socks to show, and some clogs. A baby sweater done. . . two shawls started.
My goal is to better about getting things posted here in the coming months.

Hi Karen - love the stuff that you've knitted! I would like to try knitting socks (for me) and think that maybe I should try it out first by knitting some of those baby socks!
